Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
It is really difficult to comment without examining you. However it could be an abscess or an inflamed parotid gland. Both can result in swelling of lymph nodes of the same side of face. Please consult your PCP. You may need a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatories.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
Blisters can happen over the stretched skin of the abscess. It can also be seen in wet herpes. It can also be Herpes Singles. “Shingles start as small blisters on a red base, with new blisters continuing to form for three to five days. The blisters follow the path of individual nerves. The entire path of the nerve may be involved or there may be areas with blisters and areas without blisters. Eventually, the blisters pop, and the area starts to ooze. The affected areas will then crust over and heal. The whole process may take three to four weeks from start to finish.” Refer: http://www.medicinenet.com/shingles/article.htm
Please discuss this with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. You can also consult a skin specialist. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
