Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
This is a problem you cannot treat at home. Try and find a dentist. Meanwhile take an OTC pain killer and use a dental toothpaste (2-3 times a day) that will numb your nerve endings and decrease the pain. This cannot be done for long and hence consult a dentist as soon as you can. Hope this helps. Take care!
I agree with cheshchesh891 my husband neglected his teeth too, due to the fact that when he was younger her had a bad experience in a dentist and he never went near a dentist from a child. Now he is getting his teeth sorted through the hospital and yes they are very nice and help you to relax before they even go near you. They want you to trust them not be afraid of them. When i was a child i had to go to the hospital aswell to get my teeth sorted, i had to get a second top row of teeth removed and then after that get braces. But when i look in the mirror now it was worth all the pain and waiting at the time. I have a lovely smile to be proud of. If you want that lovely smile you once had back, you would be willing to get it sorted. Believe me it will be worth it.
alot of dentist are full in the uk,but you can always go to the hospital where they have a dental area, they are lovely in there, just explain the fear you have and they will understand, you sound like you have a gum desease,so you really do need to go.My son is petrified of the dentist to and he had to go last week to the hospital to have 6 teeth out, they were wonderful with him and he was so brave, please pop along and see them, good luck
