Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Something stuck in the throat can be due to post nasal drip, if you have recurrent cold and sinusitis. It can also be gastric reflux due to weak esophageal sphincter or due to hiatal hernia. It can also be an allergic reaction to something you eat. Smoking, alcohol, nasal congestion, post nasal drip, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are the conditions that can damage the mucosa of the upper airway and may result in impaired swallowing and a choking sensation.
You will need to consult your PCP and rule out these causes one by one.
You can take omeprazole empty stomach in morning and cut down on alcohol, smoking, coffee, spicy and oily food, if you take them and see if it helps.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

HI...u may have post nasal drip that could be leading to GERD...see an ENT to rule out the PND and a GI dr for the GERD.

It could be reflux as well.. I had the same thing.. where i felt like i was choking, as though something was stuck in my throat.. I had a barium swallow, had my thyroid checked out.. bunches of tets.. found out it was stomach acid hanging out in my voice box pharynx area.. get checked by a gastro. they can do a real fast test.. where they look down your throat to see if its inflammed.. or if there is a concern... at least get that ruled out~!
it could be bone spurs in neck cervical spine get (myelogram)
