If it is to the right of your adams apple, that would be where your thyroid is. I would have it checked out by a doctor.
There is an artery in the area you are talking about and they have a pulse like in your wrist. It the lump a hard bump or a spongy lump that you feel your pulse when you press on it? It isn't on the bone it is above the bone right? if it is soft and spongy it may just be an artery. If it is solid and hard I would have the doc feel it.
It might possibly be a swollen lymph node. I had one once, but it was more to the side, so I'm not sure. If that's what it is, it is probably just some sort of infection your body is trying to fight off.

Well the area you mentioned doesn't have lymph nodes to my knowledge nor would it pulsate. But, if it is a lymph node that is swollen yesa large part of their function is to fight infection.If it is a hard bump like a tumor you should get it checked otherwise it doesn't sound like an abnormal finding.
