Hi,

I am glad that the post helped you. In a real world scenario, it is the examination and history which adds the maximum towards a diagnosis. Therefore, i am sure that the interview with your PCP would be the most beneficial.

Please keep me posted and let me know if you may need any other help.

Hopefully a full exam will begin Monday when I see my PC.  I have been treated for all three falls, I was casted for the broken wrist, had the nose put back in place and this last fall will be addressed on Monday.  I know I procrastinate too much about dr. follow-ups my mom is a nurse and has checked my blood sugar often and my blood pressure.  This is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.  I hope to leave the Dr.  with a referral to a neurologist.  As I said I did have a Catt scan of the brain at the beginning of the year I will bring those films to the Dr.  Thanks for you response.

Do you have any symptoms that would be suspect for narcolepsy with cataplexy? That's a real long shot, just wanted to add it to the list of things that can cause falling.

hi,

i gather that you have had multiple episodes of falling with injuries at each time. have you got this examined by your doctor yet? have you got treatment for your injuries?

there are three possible causes in my mind which come immediately- Hypoglycemia, vertigo or vasovagal syncope (multiple causative factors).

Do you have a prior idea that yoiu are about to fall? As in just before you fall, is there a specific trigger?

There are many such causes and this may need thorough evaluation including blood pressure, pulse and blood sugar which are primary elements of investigation. Thereafter a full examination and possible list of causes should be drawn which can then be ruled out through radiology or other diagnostic aids

let me know if you may need more help.
