Do you drink diet soda, or use artificial sweeteners in your coffee, etc.?  All of the symptoms you are describing can be found linked to aspartame poisoning.

check out: http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/index.htm

I'm trying to track down symptoms of my own and stopped using aspartame 1 week ago... some things saw immediate improvements, others not.  Afraid some damage might be permanent... but doctors say you might need to be off of it between 3 weeks to 60 days before it's really gone.

Best wishes.

I would absolutely question your thyroid tests- get a copy of all lab results for a home file & study up on what they mean and how those levels relate to your body.If you google what lab results mean there are tons of pages to explain each.
Your symptoms sound much like HypER - thyroid.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil - so keep squeaking to your doctors!

   good luck-

I would consider asking your physician to order an AM cortisol level and/or ACTH level on you. Pituitary / adrenal dysfunction is often common in people who have CFS.

Are you being treated yet ? If so, what treatment plan does your physician have you on ?

P.S. --- I'm sure your physician has ordered a lyme test on you, but you may want to read about the accuracy of lyme tests.... here's a link: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/308924

Do you have any weakness ? Has your physician ordered a cortisol level on you ?

To answer your question, loss of muscle strength can definitely be a symptom in patients with CFS.

I was also diagnosed with CFIDS and I can tell you that this condition is real. CFIDS patients' often have low blood pressure, orthostatic issues... sometimes with tachycardia (POTS), low uric acid levels, positive ANA (25% of CFIDS patients' have a positive titer) and a low cortisol and/or hormone levels. There is actually a test that can supposedly diagnose CFIDS, but it is in the research phase. However, Medicare covers the test and it is a national lab. The lab is Red Labs, USA and they have a website for more information if you are interested.

Half of CFIDS patients' have abnormal MRI scans, 80% have abnormal SPECT scans, 95% have abnormal cognitive evoked EEG brain maps.  Most have abnormal neurologic examinations.
