She needs potassium. Works for muscle spasms
Wow. i am glad i am not the only one wt this crazy issue.nor am i glad u all have it. but i have just had surgery a few wekks ago for fluid that was built up on a fillopian tube which was what was causing me to **** on my left side. when they went it they found 2 spots of endrometriosis and 2 cyst and my bladder linning was very thin and my bladder was unusually small. before my surgery i would have these crazy stabbing spells in my vagina wall. it would start off by throbbing slow and then it would get worse and then it feels as though my female organs are having a seizer. i am not able to walk or sit and it feels as though my insides are being stabbed and seizering. it last for about 20 min then goes away then i am sore for the rest of the day. i though after surgery and them finding all of that and removing it. i would not have this happen again. today at school it happened again.
I went to University of Michigan hospital yesterday in Ann Arbor and I was diagnosed with pelvic muscle spasm, abdominal pain/scar restrictions, myofascial pain/sscar restrictions, pelvic pain. There are all my symptoms on top of having endometriosis, fibroid tumors, ovarion cysts but, that pelvic pain is debilitating I've been dealing w/it for years and have seen many doctors and treated for different things w/all types of meds still no relief. U of M hospital believes they know what is wrong and that is Pelvic & Vaginal muscle spasm and I do feel like I have a knot in there and I hurt all of the time, can't have sex, hurts to walk, sit down, bend over. They are going to treat me w/this cream or gel like substance that I rub & insert inside not found at any local pharmacies it has to be ordered and mailed to you or you go to pick it up the only place closes to me is in Ypsilanti. And I've been told to get Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy where they go inside your vagina to massage from the inside, I am so afraid of that but, they said it works and I will be heeled and pain free in due time. I've tried so many other things and I am willing to take the chance on this because I want to be set free, delivered and heeled completely. I too use heat pack & cold packs they make throb more at first then knumbs it but once I get to moving around the pain intensifies but, it never goes away. I'm praying that this works and I pray your friends healing & whom ever else as well.

Has your lady been constipated? If so, it is possible that excessive straining to eliminate has caused a muscle strain in the vaginal area. Several weeks of a prescription anti-inflammatory/pain reliever such as Naproxen will help make it easier for the muscle to heal. But if she has chronic constipation then she needs to stay on top of it and stay regular. Once the muscle is originally strained it is much easier to strain it again.
Here's a link that might help

I would ask the lady if she is concerned about incontinence. It is entirely possible that she, for some period of time, intentionally "held it" (tried to control bladder function using cagal exercises, excessively) in an effort to avoid embarrassment associated with developing incontinence. If this is the case, she may need reassurance and a physical exam to comfort her fears. (in other words she may have turned cagal exercises into a nervous habit)
As well, one must consider the possibility that this lady in particular may be, or may have been, sexually assaulted. In elderly years, wherein contact with others is limited, the reactions one has to sexual assault may be a little more difficult to interpret.
An elderly victim's need to stay independent, often conflicts with their need to get help in stopping an on-going sexual molester. If this possibly exists, a physical exam would be helpful, but more importantly, having you ask her if anyone's been "taking care of things for her around the house" (male or female) and listen to what she says. Ask how she met them and, as carefully as you can, watch for any signal (such as tearing up, or face-reddening) that might indicate that further investigation is warrented.
Female predators, IMHO, are far more brutal for the victim to deal with than males. Clearly, if an elderly woman says: "I'm afraid of that man." she is comforted and the man is asked to leave. However, if the pradator is female, and the lady says the same, people tend to sush her complaints, and discount them as merely personal conflict.
I hope you will be able to help this lady!
I haven't a clue what might cause this but, I would suggest that, if possible, the lady purchase some Epsom salt and take a nice warm bath. (about twenty minutes or so) The water, ideally, should cover as much of her as possible. A lot of people find this a fast way to treat any number of unexplained, or undiagnosed health issues.
I'll post again if I discover any other pertinent info!
Well I have a friend that has the same problem. she went to a Urologist and still did not get an answer of what it could be. she said that she stops the pain by putting a warm rag down there and pushing on it. she said she holds it for a count of 30 sec then lets off for 10. anyways if you can't stop the pain try that. sorry im not much of a help.
