vaginal numbness

I am interested in helping those who have questions about vaginal numbness. My family has been diagnosed with a rare enzyme deficiency that can affect the muscles and nerve functioning. It may also affect the heart and brain. It can cause everything from vision problems to diahrrea. 26 years ago I lost all feeling during intercourse and 14 years later I lost all my clitoral feeling as well. Doctors were always unconcerned. When women have a serious sexual problem, they don't view it as a potential health problem. Instead they view it as a psychological problem. I don't have all the answers yet but I know more than any gyno you could go to. Many times women can remain without symptoms until a year or so after the birth of a child. Anyone interseted in hearing more, please post your comments. By the way, there is treatment. Thats the best part about this horrible problem.

I've suffered with vaginal numbness all of my years of being sexually active. I was under the misconception all this time that all women "pretended" Sex has become increasingly difficult. I do not have a sensation down below to help my brain stay aroused, and my vagina lubricated in turn. The arousal (maintaining of that arousal) is completely mental. It's like trying to stay lubricated when by rubbing your arm repeatedly. I feel enormous strain and just cheated out of a pleasurable part of life.

I don't believe any of the females in my family suffer a similar issue. I'd love to hear about a treatment for this detrimental problem.

Hi. I have recently lost sensation in my clitoris. I have had a bad time recentetly and suffered a nervous breakdown. I am on the road to recovery now and feel good again. However i cant feel anything in my clitoris anymore. I am only 26 and the idea of never being able to feel anything again is causing me distress! Is there anything that i can do to restore the feeling?
