what's wrong with me

For years now I have been experiencing unexplained body aches starting from the neck and taking over my whole body, than it follows with chills and eventually a high fever..so high that my eyes start burning and u can feel the heat through my clothes. The symptoms last for day but I wake up completely drained and out of it.  It happens pretty frequently. I also have numbness and pain in all my joints and there are times where I cant even lift my arms or grasp anything. I also have had alot of light headedness and dizziness where my head spins for like 20 mins even if Im laying down.  I did go to the doc and had an extremely rh factor of 37..she believes i have arthritis. I am scheduled to see a specialist but its hard cuz i have 3 babies at home.  Someone mentioned that I have symptoms similiar to someone with lupus..I need answers. I also have lost 25 pounds within a couple months and im not dieting and i expericence difficulty catching my breath and sometimes have chest pains.  Can anyone tell me if these symptoms have anything to do with eachother or if im just being paranoid.  O, I also have anemia, comes and goes..when I gave birth to my son in 09 I went from a 12 hemo count to a 6..the docs were concerned. If anyone can ease my mind Id really appreciate it.  I know I should see a doc, but its just not that easy for me.  Thanks

Being a mom to three lil ones is the main reason I have no real time to take care of myself..its always about their needs first, but my husband is really worried about me and wants me to get checked out immediately.  Last night my body was soo weak and I was soo light headed that I had to just go to sleep.  I do have to be better to function better for my babies.  Thanks again, ur words were kind, encouraging and very helpful.

Thanks for your advice, a CBC may be just the blood test I need. I am a punk when it comes to needles but I will have to just get over that.  It can be so many different things and I did mention the symptoms to the nurse in my school and she thought possible lupus cause of the sensitivity and pain I get all over my arms and skin.  I will reach out to a doc and schedule the blood test...how can I get better if I dont know what I have right.  Thanks again

Thank you so much for your encouraging words.  Rheumatoid was a possibility but when I did the blood test it came out negative.  I was scheduled to see 3 different specialists but of course I never found the time to go.  I will make those appointments and definately follow up because I am constantly fatigued and these symptoms make it hard to function to my 100%.

your symptoms are compatible with so many conditions, so i don't think you're being paranoid at all. i have lyme disease and fibromyalgia and experience all the symptoms you mentioned except the fevers, although that is a common symptom of lyme. obviously, i don't know where you live, but lyme is found in all states in the continental U.S. unfortunately, you can test negative and still have it, so diagnosing the illness can get complicated. sometimes it's a matter of having a doctor who has experience with lyme assess your symptoms and circumstantial factors (such as possible exposure to the disease). i got sick when lyme was relatively unknown, as a result it took about 4yrs before i found out what was wrong with me, so don't stop looking for answers! i know it's hard to make time to focus on your own health when you have 3 little ones at home, (i'm a mother as well) but you've got to do it. you need to do it for yourself AND for them....i'm sure your already well aware of this, but i say this because i know it takes a lot of effort and energy (energy that you don't have) which makes it easy to neglect yourself.....i wish you the best of luck and hope you find some answers soon.

But whatever you do, please don't get caught in trying to use your symptoms as keyword searches in a search engine, it'll take you to places that might cause all kind of mental anguish. The best you can do for yourself and family is to start by having your family doctor order a CBC (complete blood count) and evaluate those results. You can ask for a copy of the results because most labs display the normal ranges along with your values. Discounting any environmental dangers you might see around you that can cause serious health issues, any known genetic issues that runs in your family or STD related issues you can think of I would start with a CBC and go from there.
There are also various tests that are recommended depending on what age group you belong to so make sure you are up to date with those routine checkups as you get older.
Along with all that, your diet and exercise habits (or lack there of) should also be taken into consideration.

PLEASE see a doctor, perhaps a neurologist. Lyme disease? Rheumatoid arthritis? Lupus? You need to keep track of your symptoms on a daily basis, as well as your diet and take them with you when you see your Dr. For the sake of your children, you must find out what is wrong. Seek support from those who love and care about you while you juggle it all. Reach out - you must get well!
