why is it that one of my vagina lips is swollen?

My boyfriend and I had rough sex last night. His penis went kind of limp so he remvoed the condom  for some foreplay to get it back up. Afterwards he reused the same condom. When he was about to *** he pulled out but the condom came off.  He came a little on the bed and the condom was still inside me. He had to fish the condom out. Last night my vagina was hurting, deformed looking, and one of the lips is severely swollen still today. Why is this and could their be a small possibility of pregnancy because of this incident?

Firstly, NEVER EVER reuse condoms. EVER. Always use a fresh one that is not expired. Make sure to read the directions on/inside the condom package. Using contraceptive devices properly is the second best way (abstinence being the first) to avoid pregnancy and STDs.

I'm guessing you are having swelling issues because he was "fishing" for the condom. That in itself, alongside rough sex, can cause general swelling to the sensitive lady region. If you feel any lumps within the swelling, these might be bartholin's cysts (basically blocked off sebaceous glands within the labia/vulva --these can happen, in my experience, from rough sex--probably the same idea when a person can get acne from roughly touching their face because it breaks the delicate pore under the skin). Just dab some polysporin or something similar on the cyst(s) if you find this is the case. If it is just swelling, take a couple of warm baths with Epsom salt or regular table salt to ease some of the swelling and promote skin healing. Abstain from sex until you feel comfortable enough to have it again.

As for pregnancy, it's possible. If you keep track of your periods and have an idea of when you ovulate (about day 14 for most women on a 28 day cycle, but this varies) then you should be able to gauge whether or not pregnancy seems like a real possibility. Regardless, this situation would definitely cause a higher risk of pregnancy, what with reusing a condom and then losing it inside the vagina. Refer to when you are supposed to get your period, and if this happened about the middle week between where you stopped your last period and when you are supposed to get your next period, chances are you should be worrying (although, conception only happens when you ovulate, but if you don't know approximately the week or days that you do, this scenario might be reason for alarm). You'll just have to wait and see. Ovulation only has about 3 day long window. Generally, I make sure to have very very safe sex during that week when it's supposed to happen to ensure I get the grateful surprise of my period about a week and a half to 2 weeks later. If you are exceptionally worried, go to the pharmacist and ask for Plan B. This medication can only be used within 72 hours of the incident and essentially spontaneously sheds the endometrium that a fertilized egg would be need to develop into an embryo. If Plan B is not an option, you are ultimately going to have to wait for your period to ensure conception did not occur. If you are late, take a pregnancy test about a week afterward. If you are worried and get your period anyways, heck, take a home pregnancy test to ease your mind.

I must stress again... NEVER reuse condoms. Make sure your boyfriend understands how to use condoms if he plans on having sex with you, and make sure you know your body and how to properly protect yourself from pregnancy/STDs before you engage in sexual acts. Read the condom package; SO MANY people use condoms incorrectly because they did not read how they are supposed to be used. Understand how to use them and pass on the knowledge. It will ultimately be up to the both of you to learn about and use condoms how they were intended to be used. I hope you don't have to worry about pregnancy this month, that your labia swelling ceases and hope you have safer sex in the future!
