regular occurences of UTI

Hi Docs,
I am 27M, living in Boston with no STDs or previous history of known ailments related to UTD.

I have been going through this strange phase in last 3 months, I have had 3 strikes of UTI(that's what my doc said). Symptoms are pain during urination, burning sensation at urethra, frequent urge to urinate and urinary incontinence. I have been prescribed Sulfamethoxazole during my first 2 visits and its been working pretty well to cure the problem in hand.

Problem is I am not sure why this happening frequently. I visited couple of urgent care physicians, pcp and urologist. Got the urine culture, STD, physical rectal examination done but nothing left a clue, urologist mentioned there is nothing to worry about but then it happened a week after my doc visit.

I have some pills of Sulfamethoxazole from previous prescription which I gulp anytime I see this happening and it happily solves the problem with one dose. I am meeting my PCP next week, do you suggest any specific tests.

This UTI strokes come with some fever, weakness etc which actually bring me down for 4-5 days. I am also worried about that and how it impacts my sexual life.

Please advice.
