Im a 43 F. Went to Er for not feeling well and showed low potassium/high sodium. Didnt mention any blood in my urine. Went to see surgeon for check up the next day from having my gallbladder out and he mentioned blood was seen in my urine test and asked if I had symptoms of UTI. I said no. 3 days later I developed symptoms, had urine culture and it came back neg. No Bacteria.  Made an appt with urologist and go thursday. These symptoms were in August. they went away and 2 weeks ago returned. I feel pressure to urinate but not quite as bad as a bad uti. But when I do go, about every hour-2 hours, i go sufficently. No really pain, but some discomfort like the inside of my vagina is irritated. Feels discomfort around my urtetha area...kinda stingy once in a while. ALso have problems with my clitoris hurting too sometimes. Some times has a a mild pain for a second up inside my vagina it feels like. I get up 2-3 times a night to urinate. Sometimes pressure eases up thru out the day...urine is mostly clear with some white floaties in it...but usually not to dark or cloudy. Not SEEN any blood. Why would this went away and then returned a month later? Didnt take any meds for it either.

Hi
I have had similar symptoms and my problem was an inflammed bladder, the specialist I saw about it put me on an acid free diet - cutting out tomoato, cheese onion etc and no soft drink or alcohol for 4 months my symptoms went away after one week of doing this.  My symptoms were so bad that if I was sitting down and leaned to one side I would feel pain, it was like I had a UTI but there was no infection and this went on for about 6 months (it took that long to get to a specialist), but my problem went away after a week, I also take acidophilus tablets too.  Suffered from UTIs as a child all the time and acidophilus helped then too.  Oh and he also got me to take one cranberry tablet a day as well for 4 months - so far so good have been on the acid free diet for 2 months now and have not had a UTI since, I was getting them monthly before this.  I did have blood though, so this may not be your problem, but thought I would let you know anyway!!!
