groin swelling

I am a 46 yr old female who for the past several months I have had intermittent swelling and some discomfort in my rightside groin.  The swelling is more in my pelvic area just above the ligaments that connect the thigh to my pelvis.  When it is swollen, the right side is noticeably larger from an above viewpoint (when I look down while showering for example).

From what you are describing it sounds like tou may have a hernia.  A visit to your doctor should be able to diagnosis this if present.
