Ureter Tumor -TCC

Husband had transitional cell carcinoma in left ureter (agg 77).  Surgery is Thurs via robotic laparoscopy to remove just section of ureter with tumor, saving the kidney.  Anyone had this?  And how difficult is the recovery?  What about reoccurrance?

I have ureter cancer. Surgery will be August 20th,  looks like Stage 1 high grade 2/3. They will know for sure when it's out and dissected.
Iim having a psoas hitch and Baori flap to be sure there is enough length of ureter. They will also remove lymph nodes for analysis.
Any advice on recovery?
