Pain everywhere...

Doctor,

Recently I've been experiencing pain in both testicles. The pain is on and off. I have no lumps on the testicle so I'm somewhat sure it's not cancer. I don't remember having any injuries. Sometimes I have pain in my left testicle, sometimes in my right. And sometimes the pain radiates to my pelvis or down my leg (like a nerve that's attached to the testicle and goes down the leg).

It started months ago. I thought it subsided but it's getting more frequent. The pain isn't severe but it causes discomfort.

Torsion is usually an acute condition characterized by severe pain- the testis undergoes a rotation on its pedicle compromising blood flow to itself.

In the absence of a palpable lump, cancer seems to be an unlikely cause of your problems; a sonography of the testicles can be of some help in identifying tumors that are not detected by physical examination, also tumor markers, measured in the blood sample, can be of use. These are generally ordered only if the index of suspicion is high.

Chronic testicular pain can just be an idiopathic finding- without any identifiable cause. treatment is usually symptomatic (analegesics, scrotal support etc,)
