25 Y/O Male Weak/No Erection

I am a 25 year old male with a serious problem. Over the past year i have seen my erections gradually decrease in rigidity and frequency. This didn't pose much of a problem as i was single. Then i met my current girlfriend recently and things seemed fine. Whenever we would kiss and touch i would achieve an erection. Now that is no longer the case, even for masturbation i have to be exposed to extreme stimulation and very graphic pictures or i cannot even achieve an erection. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker, active and have been screened for all STDs and had my hormone levels and prostate tested. The only abnormality doctors have been able to identify is a slightly enlarged prostate gland which they already tried to treat with antibiotics in case of an infection to no avail. My morning erections are weak and sometimes non-existent and i can never have a spontaneous one, there always needs to be some sort of stimulation. I am lost here and pondering breaking up with the girl i love because, well we both want kids and i can't even have intercourse, things are only getting worse, sometimes i can even ejaculate without ever becoming rigid. I have ceased all masturbation in hopes of that solving something but nothing is working, i have even tried Viagra to little avail... Though i have not tried more than the 25mg dose. Please help, this is not normal, and no one can seem to help me, this is ruining my life.

Re donb_fl's November 8th post "psyc vs physical," I'm inclined to agree. It were purely a physical matter, I don't think "six' o' clock" would be turning into "high noon" at all, regardless of the level of photographic stimuli. Seeking psychological help might be prudent...and productive, especially if a relationship is at stake. Best of luck to you!

since you cant even get erections with masterbation, since your morning wood isnt regular, that is the major indicator of psyc vs physical

I thank you for the response, the diet thing i've tried, i'm a smart guy. and have never spent a day in the hospital, so very exhaustive before consulting MD's, i've tried adjusting everything i could rationally think of as the cause, and time is of the essence because i really can't expect my girlfriend to hang around forever, i don't want to seem condescending, but do you think i should ask for these tests by name or assume when i go to my family physician and inform him the Viagra had little effect that he will order these further tests?

hi, a complete work-up is required in your case to know the cause of the problem.Few of test, which will be required are serum prolactin levels, serum testosterone levels, serum chemistry, complete blood counts and lipid profile may be of value. Also, get a serum PSA (prostate specific antigen) levels done. Conditions like anemia, diabetes and hyperlipidemia are to be ruled out. Other specialised testings might also be required like nocturnal penile tumescence and rigidity, vascular testing, neurologic testing and psychological diagnostic tests. The treatment can be directed to the primary cause. At the same time please stop getting stressed about it as psychological factors play a major role and worring will not help. Also, improve your diet, take lots of fruits and green vegetables and start exercising. These measures do help.
