Is pelling at my penis a consequence of using anti fungal cream ?

I noticed some 2 red marks at my penis I visited a urologist. He diagnosed me with fungal infection and gave me Nystalocal cream.  I was about to take it for 6 days but the marks were still there and the doctor suggested me to continue using it for one more week. After 8 days total the red marks disappeared. Although 6 days after stop using the cream I noticed that the skin at my penis is peeling starting from the area where the marks were.   Is this a consequense of the cream? Or the Fungal infection is still there and I have to have a different treatment?

After contacting with my urologist he informed me that this is a natural consequence of the anti fungal cream and it is a good thing and a part of the healing process.
