Adult bed wetting

I recently experienced night time bed wetting. I used to do it when I was little but it was a long time ago. But last year it happened. But it was one time deal. But now it's happening very often. When I wake up the sheets and my cloths are already dry. But I can understand it from the smell. Can u please tell me what medication or anything I can do.

Why do you think it is happening?  Are you stressed?  Are you getting proper sleep? Any substance abuse involved? Urinary incontinence is different than bed wetting such as you are doing.   This requires medical examination for things like: A blockage (obstruction) in part of the urinary tract, such as from a bladder stone or kidney stone; Bladder problems, such as small capacity or overactive nerves; Diabetes; Enlarged prostate; medication side effect; Neurological disorders; Obstructive sleep apnea; Urinary tract infection.

So, you really need to see a urologist and make sure there isn't a medical reason for why this has started up.  Let us know what they say.

Good advice, GuitarRox. This has happened to me a few times as I got older, never had a problem with it as a young adult, and was not a bedwetter as a kid. In my case, I'll be dreaming I have to go really bad, looking for a toilet, finally find one & start going, then wake up to realize I'm actually peeing! I usually wake up before actually wetting the bed, just get my underwear wet. It started in my mid-50s, just once or twice a year, now in my 60's perhaps just a little more often, maybe 3-4 times a year. The only thing I can come up with is that it almost always happens when I'm extremely tired & sleeping very deeply, so that the normal feeling of a full bladder deosn't wake me up. In my case, because it doesn't happen that often, I haven't really had to seek treatment for it. I guess if it gets to the point I'm actually wetting the bed on a regular basis, I will definitely see a Dr. about it, altho from what I've heard & read, it seems like no one really has a good handle on why adults who never had this problem suddenly start developing it. Good luck to you, VaDeUn, hope you find a solution.
