Can I masturbate during epididymitis ?

I have epididymitis for the past one month and taking antibiotics. Today I masturbated and I have discomfort feeling and a mild pain in the place where my epididymis was infected.
Is it safe to maaturbate during this healing time or will it slow down my healing time and brings more problem?

Overmasturbation (or a lot) is not recommended during treatment but some masturbation is usually okay.  This is an old thread that a doctor ways on for this subject. https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Urology/is-it-safe-to-masturbate-while-sufering-frm-epidydimitis-how-long-it-takes-to-cure-epidydimitis-/show/1553698  I think it's okay to masturbate unless you are not clearing the infection, at which point, I'd stop to see if that impacts it.
