Cloudy Urine/Frequent UTI's?

I have had around 60 UTI's in the past five or six years. I take Cranberry Pills regularly because obviously I'm prone to UTI's more than others and I try to prevent them that way. About a week ago I woke up in the middle of the night and felt the completely nauseated and ran to the bathroom where I threw up for a good hour. I turned on the light and noticed there was blood everywhere but realized it was from a nose bleed that happened while I was in the midst of throwing up. I attributed the throwing up to something I ate and the nose bleed to the exertion of the throwing up. (I've had about 3 nosebleeds in the past month or so but I think it's from the dust I inhale at work).  The rest of the week I started to notice that my Urine was a dark color (almost like a dark ale) and had a somewhat strange and foul odor. The day after I threw up, I noticed pain in my right side and the oh so familiar symptoms of a UTI. I began pumping more water than usual and cranberry pills but to no avail. I kept myself hydrated but it never seemed to lighten the color of the urine to indicate that I had become any more hydrated. I've gone to doctor after doctor and they all tell me the same thing. Wipe front to back, urinate after intercourse, keep yourself hydrated. All things that I constantly do.  I've even gone once or twice and they've taken a urinalysis and told me that there was no infection but I've had all of the symptoms.  I guess  my question now is this. Should I be extremely worried about my current cloudy urine and unusal smell along with the side pain? Because the symptoms I usually have when I get a UTI are limited to pain during urination along with frequency, but I've never had the side pain. I also have a strange problem of not being able to hold it AT ALL. The feeling of having to urinate will come out of nowhere and two seconds later if I don't sit down, or urinate I'll have no control what so ever and I'll basically wet my pants. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I had a urinalysis the last time I went to the emergency room for lower back pain along with UTI symptoms which was about 2 months ago. She said I didn't have a UTI and there was nothing wrong and sent me home. I guess these are the reasons that I usually don't go to the doctor because they all look at me like I'm lying and make me feel like I'm crazy. A couple of times I've gone in and I'll have all the symptoms and they'll be extremely strong so I'll go in because my home remedies haven't worked. Then they take a urinalysis and there's no infection.  More often than not though I'll have a UTI and they'll give me CIPRO. I had one doctor just give me a whole bottle so that I could take it whenever I needed.

Hi

You need a thorough work up especially regarding your abdomen and urinary symptoms. An abdominal CT scan will be able to help rule out involvement of other structures such as the intestines and pelvic organs. It appears that a heart problem has been ruled out here. If these conditions have been present for quite sometime other differentials will be chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia, prostatodynia and even interstitial cystitis.

You have mentioned that your urine was cloudy. When was the last time you had your urinalysis done?

Thank you for your response! I've posted on here before but have never had anybody actually respond. In answer to your questions I've had the nose bleed a couple times in the past month but my nose is always tender so I always assumed it was from the dust that kicks up at work that I breathe in all day. I've had an ultrasound on my kidneys before (couple months ago I believe) and they told me they found nothing. Other than that when I go in to the doctors they usually don't believe me when I tell them how many I've had so I try my best to just treat it on my own. This morning I woke up and I have an incredible pressure in my bladder and my side is killin me. The pain is kind of low and to the right below my hip bone. But it's also higher by my ribs. My urine is still cloudy and the foul odor is still there. I haven't gone to the doctor yet because every time I go I explain my symptoms and they treat me for a UTI. I'm worried something else is going on also that's causing the UTI's. The write me off to a urologist and I have to wait another 4 months. Is there something else my immediate doctor can be testing for? I will definately mention the abdominal CT scan to my doctor. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much

On another side note I have many more symptoms but am never sure if they're multiple problems all in one so I'll just mention them briefly just in case they're an indicator of anything when coupled with the ones I've mentioned above.

-Chronic Chest pain (ruled out as a heart problem by every test imaginable)
-Headaches
-Weight problems (I work for UPS and exercise every day but I still weigh 170 pounds??)
-Blood sugar of 99(I was tested for thyroid disease and they also did a blood sugar test. I was told at the time this number was still ok. Is that true?)
-Very very tired ALL the time no matter what I do
-Random bouts of dizziness and sometimes a hard time catching my breath
-Very very very irregular periods (sometimes I only get 3 or so a year)

Thank you again for your help

Hi

You need immediate assessment by your physician. With regards to nose bleed and changes in the character of the urine, how many times have you noted this?

I suggest that you have an abdominal CT scan done or a kidney, ureter and bladder scan done to help rule out underlying structural or infectious processes. Also, was a urinalysis done recently and if yes, what was the red blood cell count? Determination of INR, Prothrombin and aPTT levels need to be ascertained. Dark urine and nosebleed may suggest an underlying bleeding problem and this has to be addressed first before other disease condition have to be considered.
