Thank you for your reply. I have set up an appointment with a urologist on Jan 16. I will show him what you have said and see what happens. I will let you know how it goes if that's ok.
Thanks again.
Dear keith486,
From your history and symptoms it appears that you may developed “non neurogenic bladder” due to anxiety at young age and henceforth altered voiding habits. At this point, I would like you to be investigated further with ultrasound KUB & Post Void Residue and then started on ‘anticholinergic drugs’ under the care of your urologist. This shall improve your frequency and urgency issues and hopefully bring the bladder to function normally over a period of time.
As far as your erection issues are concerned, it might help to start you on “5-phosphodiasterase inhibitors” for a while. They will help bring back your confidence and improve your sexual functions further.
You may discuss about both these options with your primary healthcare provider or with a competent urologist.
Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon.
