For number of years I suffered debilitating pain in my penis right at the glans area.
The only relief I could find was laying out horizontally for 20 mins. As a teacher I had to lay out on a table during my prep periods. I accidently found help with a combination of a muscle relaxant (parafon forte) and 1 mg ativan. I use this combo 3 times a day and for the most I'm symptom free. On occasional days I have some minor discomfort but I had not had the excruciating pain since I started this medication combo.
Sorry to hear what you're going through. I'm not a doctor and don't know if you've seen this site and whether it might provide any help in your searching for some kind of answers, diagnosis and treatment. Good luck!

I went through every thing that the urologist could do for me. they found nothing. i went through one test by neurologist and could not find anything, but i know its nerve related because the tegretol blocks the pain. i have never had any kind of MRI done down there. you really cant have one done unless you get a dentist to do one down there for you. the other things that let me know its nerve pain is the pain itself. and the fact that i can ejaculate with out even masturbating..meaning that it happens sometimes like a wet dream. i have no control at times. i to can get an erection but that doesnt mean its not a problem with the nerve, because they hold on to pain!
I hope this helps you!
Man, sorry for your suffering -
how do you know what the pain is - that it's nerve damage? I also have needle-like stings and burning, pin pricks in my penis head - really sapping my energy and patience. I had an electric shock years ago that I felt go through the shaft and knew in my gut it had just done damage. However, I was told by Neurologist that if I can get erection still localized nerve damage was not possible. Others told me such a shock not possible. To this day, I have trouble with these random pains and abrasive-to-touch feelings - all impossible to ignore. Pleasure still possible but it gets crowded out by the discomfort most of the time.
I have taken Gabapentin but not enough to know if it will work long-term. The pain in my case is not severe.
So, I'm curious how you diagnosed / decided what was wrong? What tests have you done, etc? What did neurologist say? Urologist?
