Hernia and reactive lymph nodes

About 17 days ago I started with a bulge in my right inguinal area. When I bare down, cough, urinate or have a bowel movement it protrudes out and feels hard.I have a soreness in my pelvic area, the top part of my inner thigh,my right lower back and in a few spots in my abdomen. The bulge flattens out when I lay down but it gets big again when standing, walking or sitting for a long time.I went for a hernia sonogram and the results say that I have reactive size lymph nodes measuring 1.1 cm and 1.2 cm with no hernia seen.If I only have reactive lymph nodes why do they protrude like a hernia does when I cough, urinate, bare down and have a bowel movement? Can I possibly have reactive lymph nodes from a hernia that was just not spotted on the sonogram?

I have not even seen my primary care physician yet.I messaged her with my symptoms and she ordered the hernia sonogram. She mailed me the results of the sonogram.I will be seeing my primary care physician next week and I will show her what happens when I cough, bare down or exert abdominal pressure so she can see and feel the protrusion.

Yes, And usually when you are having a sonogram you are laying flat. Did your doctor check you while you repeated the situations which produced the bulges? The swelling of local lymph nodes could be in response to inflammation from the hernia.

Do you feel sick? Did they check your blood work? Have you been to a general surgeon or gastrologist?
