Intermittent Pain in both testicles and groin area!

Hello all.

I'm having intermittent pain in both of my testicles (hard to determine where exactly) and a dull sensation in my groin area.  I can't feel any nodes or anything out of the ordinary, maybe 2 small bumps when I press hard enough to feel them (in the groin area).

The testicular pain comes on and off.  It seems as if I'm more active, it hurts.  It really is intermittent.  Sometimes I'm getting this dull aching pain and sometimes it isn't there at all.

I went to a walk-in clinic and was given ZMAX 2MG oral liquid solution and a 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone in case it was Chlamydia/Gonohorea.  Test results indicated it was not, whoever I had been taking other antibiotics so the results may have been skewed.  Regardless, the ZMAX 2MG and the 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone would have taken care of one of those infections.

This is a really annoying pain I'm having and I'm actually quite scared.  The strange aching sensation on my groin area and the more painful aching I'm getting my my testicles.

Can anyone help me?

Hi im 14 and am having this problem at my age. Ive been checked at the local clinic and had a ultrasound and they say its just a cyst and nothing to worry about but i seem to have a strange loop attatched to my right testicle and seems to be very tender. i am also getting shooting pains in the groin that may be related in some way? i just want a little info...
Or should i maybe get re-checked?

I have a similar case and it has been like this on and off for a couple years. While lifting one day I had a sharp pain in my testicle area but it went away for a while then came back. Could it be possible that I have had a hernia for two years without knowing? I have the exact same symptoms as said by the question you answered above and I'm just curious how I can make it go away.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

You could be having epididymitis or prostatitis.
Epididymitis is an inflammation of the epididymis and can cause mild, intermittent dragging pain and may be accompanied by redness or tenderness in the scrotum as well.

Prostatitis is caused by an inflammation of the prostate and may be due to infection or irritation. This needs to be diagnosed on urinalysis, preferably from a sample collected immediately after ejaculation. Treatment is based on the antibiotic sensitivity of the organism and is for a longer course of 15-2o days.

Try to avoid prostate irritants such as caffeine, alcohol, citrus fruits, and spicy foods, and drink plenty of fluids. Additionally, you will need to avoid sitting on hard surfaces or for prolonged periods of time.

You will need to consult a urologist for the required tests and treatment.

Do keep us posted on any further doubts in this regard.
