Is epididymitis and erectile dysfunction related?

Do you think epididymitis and erectile dysfunction could be related?  My husband has had two very bad cases of epididymitis. (two emergency room visits)  He has been treated with antibiotics each time and isn't having any symptoms, but now is having erectile issues.  He is 42 and does a lot of heavy moving every day.

He aslo had symptoms of sciatica at the same time.

He may have a spinal disk problem that is affecting his bladder function leading to a urine infection and subsequent epididymitis as well as nerve pain (sciatica). This nerve compression may result in erectile dysfunction.
Epididymitis and erectile dysfunction are not usually directly related.
