Kidney Stone Stuck?

A couple days ago I had severe back pain on my right side just below my ribs. I went to the doctor yesterday and they think I might I have a kidney stone. I went today to get CAT scan (or what ever you call it) and I am almost pretty sure I have a kidney stone because my dad gets them a lot plus I have a habit for not drinking enough liquids. But the back pain is completely gone now but I am getting worried. I am worried because I have really severe pain in my urethra or basically where I you know pee. It feels like there is something really sharp in there and it's been like that for the past two days. There is no noticeable blood in my pee. The thing is though when ever I do pee is hurts really badly and it's been doing that for the past two days. Also when ever I pee, it feels almost like it's coming out weird and not like it's supposed too. I am really afraid that if I do have a kidney stone (which I probably do for sure) it's stuck. But if it isn't stuck why does it feel this way and should I just continue drinking water and wait for it too come out? Please help!

Lazy or not... you need to drink lots of fluids. If you don't, then it'll come out eventually, but it'll be later rather than sooner. Get up... go to the kitchen... make yourself a pitcher of lemonade... sit back down at your computer...drink said pitcher steadily... repeat when pitcher is empty (until stone passes).

I think you could be right about it getting far enough to pass down. The thing is though is that I am really LAZY (like I can spend up to twelve hours on my computer) and I haven't been drinking as much liquids and I should be. I have heard that lemonade and orange juice help with kidney stones, is this true? I really don't want to have anyone grab my kidney stone. I wouldn't do it even if my kidney stone was life threatening. If I did do it, the urologist would probably get kicked in the face. The other thing is that the stone feels like it's almost ready to come out but it just hasn't...that's why I'm scared.

My advice... drink a TON of liquids. Getting a stone stuck in your urethra is not fun (I've had it happen to me several times), and the only thing that could be done was oral pain-meds (Vicodin or Norco) and PLENTY of liquids.

If it doesn't pass within a couple of days, call your urologist and let him know. They may decided to scope you and either grab it and remove it, or push it back into the bladder. If it's small enough to have come this far, it's more than likely small enough to pass on it's own, although it may be a strange angle, hence the hangup in your urethra.

I feel your pain dude. Been there many times myself, although my pain was so intense that there's no way I could have been on here typing questions.

Get your doc to prescribe some pain-killers and drink a lot of liquids... best advice I can give.
