I had the same problem, and the answer to all your questions is YES !!!
1. Could this be a male yeast infection and can it irritate the prostate, urethra area?
2. Are we just passing it back and forth to each other.
3. Could a yeast infection lay dormant in a male and flair up when conditions are right?
4. Could female yeast infection be a result of oral sex?
After much searching there are 3 treatments that helped:
1.Some german pills based on garlic and hawthorn that purged candida from intestines after 2 weeks of treatement, 6-8 pills a day..Amazing difference
2. Aromatherapy: essential oils -medical grade only.
Never put it directly on the prostate area, but put it in your groin area between leg and groin.
Sage oil worked best as a single oil , but a blend of following helped best :
Tea tree, Sage , Clove , orange, oregano, grapefruit seed.
It is useful to vary things a bit and not use the same oil or the same blend all the time. I tried also adding lilac oil and jasmine oil an I noticed that they helped in their own ways but not as the ones mentioned first .
Oregano oil burns the skin, so must be diluted with some almond oil or with tea tree oil like 1 to 4 or 1 to 5 . Tea tree oil is a bit harsh , also must be diluted. Sage oil also is a bit strong, but it's worth putting it in higher concentration than the other ones as it worked wonders.... but it kind of knocks you out... makes you either sleepy either forces you to sit and rest.
3. Tradidtional chinese medicine.
TCM doctor diagnosed this very clear and gave me a set of pills that improved situation the the intestines and with prostate dramatically.
Also drinking green teas in moderate quantity helped.
Over all these 3 things together did the miracle of improving and curing.

Hi,
My wife aso has had problems with yeast and I have experienced infections myself after the use of antibiotics.
I'm also uncircumcised and the infection was the worst on the glans and foreskin.
It is important that both of you are treated at the same time and to abstain from sexual activity.
There are differents creams to deal with this. Canesten and Monistat are 2 of them.
Make sure that you cover as much of your penis as possible. The best way is to retract the foreskin then cover all of the penis. Slide the foreskin to the normal postition and cover the remaining service of the penis. I can take up to several months to get this under control.
Abstain from sugars as yeast thrives on sugars. You could also eat yogurt since this has to things needed to restore the good bacteria in the digestive tract.
All the best.
Ron
Hello,
You are right in thinking that it can be a male yeast infection. Men yeast infection can develop due to the overgrowth of Candida albicans. It can be transmitted through intercourse but may develop due in diabetics, weakened immunity and when taking a course of antibiotics also. Some of the symptoms of this condition are irritation and soreness in the head of the male genital, white curdy discharge and redness in the head of the penis. Since your wife is having recurrent yeast infections, so both of you need a course of antifungals. My sincere advice would be to consult a uriologist and get it evaluated. Also get it differentiated from prostatitis which may present with similar symptoms.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
