Pain in left testicles and penis

I recently had my physical exam and during the exam, my doc examined me to make sure no herpes hpv or other sores were present. At times it felt uncomfortable and I let him know a couple times and he just said sorry. He also "miked" the penis to show me how fluids would come out if I had an std.  Well, after I started getting a sharp pain in the left ball and sometimes on the penis. It's not constant but pretty frequent. Lasts for a few seconds and goes away only to return sometimes minutes or hours later. Is it normal to get this after such an exam? I didn't see exactly what he did but it felt like he grabbed each ball and pulled and turned them to search the whole area for bumps and sores. I also had sex the next couple days after the exam and each time it was with us laying on our sides so I'm wondering if maybe I smashed it or something. Any info would be greatly appreciated. It isn't swollen or discolored at all. If anything it just doesn't look as round and firm as the right one, especially at the top right by the penis. Feels softer and like there's more "stuff" when I feel the top area compared to the right side where it's smooth and can feel just  my ball. Thanks!
