Part of getting older, or a spiteful penis?

Not all that long ago, when I went to take a ****, it went something like this-

... Unzip, pull-out, whoosh, finish-off, tap-tap (maybe a jiggle), put back, zip-up, and go wash hands....

But now for perhaps the last year, I've noticed that it generally goes more like this-

... Unzip, pull-out, whoosh, finish-... No, woosh... Okay... No, not done- whoosh... Wait for it... Done?... Trickle... Tap... Dribble dribble... Tap-tap... Dribble... Wait for it... Little whoosh... Tap-jiggle-tap-tap... Drip drip... Tap... Shake... Done?... Put back, zip-up, and go wash... BLOOP BLOOP BLOOP!... "Aww, Damn-it!!!"...

I've managed to avoid that last part most of the time just by being extra patient at the pump, so to speak. But often enough, no matter what I do, my bladder and/or penis seems to keep just a little piddle in reserve for the sake of my boxer-shorts.

My question being- is this simply a part of getting older (I'm only in my mid-thrities), or the sign of something potentially serious? I'm too young to be contemplating Depends (it's not that bad yet, but at this rate, how long until it is?)

Any other guys have this experience at my age? I don't have health insurance, so I'd like to know how concerned I should be before I shell-out for a formal medical opinion.

Thanks for your reply. I'm leaning toward the "part of being a bit older" theory. I don't have difficulty going and generally don't wait until I'm over-stretched. I've noticed that I do seem to need to go much more often than previously, however, I wonder how much of this might be related to lifestyle changes I've made in the last year... (Quit smoking one year ago, started eating better, drink about four cups of coffee each morning, then plenty of water throughout the day)... Dunno... I'll finally be getting health insurance in the next month or so, so perhaps I'll be able to get the issue checked out. Thanks again...

I'd guess that so long as your urine stream is initially ok, it may just be aging (for the record I am not an MD, so do not consider this official medical advice).  If the urine stream seems to be restricted, or it is difficult to urinate, this could be your prostate and you'd want to get checked out ASAP.

But you're still a bit young for prostrate problems...it sounds like you're just getting a little extra stream after you thought you were done.  Are you waiting until your bladder is completely stretched to go?  If you do that, the bladder muscle can get overstretched and you'll get that "wait I have more" effect as it slowly relaxes back to a normal shape.  Try urinating more often (i.e. before your bladder gets overstretched) and see if that helps...
