Permanent cyst on testicle since childhood?

I have a small firm bump on the top on my right testicle. It moves free of the testicle itself but is quite firm. Roughly five years ago a doctor did an ultrasound on it and told me “definitively it is only a cyst and nothing to worry about” so I’m not too concerned however this cyst is still here and unchanged infact I distinctly remember having this cyst when I was only around 10 years old and just as a kid never thought anything of it. I just read a few places cysts in children and young teens tend to be more related to health concerns. Is this true?

I don't know about the correlation to problems later in life, but you definitely should get it checked again, just to make sure it's all still okay.

I don't think you need to run out and do it right now in the middle of a pandemic, but it might be something you follow up with your doctor about when everything settles down, wherever you are. Ask if you should be getting it checked yearly, or every 5 years or anything.

Let us know what happens.
