Pink/Red Meatus

I had a recent STD scare but all tests came negative.  Perhaps it's my just looking at my penis more closely but I notice some redness around my urethral opening/meatus time to time and it changes throughout the day.  As some points during the day it's the same color as the rest of my glans.  At others there is some pink/slightly redness to it that then extends down the frenulum.  I've had no pain, no irritation, no dribbling, no discharge, no itching.  The one thing I do notice is that there's more coloration when I shower.  I am hoping this is just something normal but because I've been checking so much something I never noticed.  Thanks in advance for any insight that can be provided.
