Did your hubby ever get a cat scan of the pelvic / abdominal area?  How about a scrotal
ultrasound?  If so, may I ask what the results were?  Reason I'm asking is that I have had both with negative result (along with negative urine results as well).  Digital exam diagnosed my prostate problem....but how is the epidydymitis diagnosed (urine sample?, cat scan?, ultrasound?, or other?)  Would like to know as that may be my problem casuing me pain now.  Thanks and best of luck to you and your husband...

Sounds very much like the enlarged prostate problem I had years ago.
I'm "not a Dr." but I did discribe my pain exactly the same way to my Urologist..."like I was sitteng on a gold ball".  No pain in the testicles though.  I did have tummy problems along with the prostate problem as well.  Maybe you can look up enlarged / infected prostate and see what you can learn.  Best of luck to your hubby!!!!  Sure wish my wife was as
supportive as you are.

Ps: I was on antibiotics for a looonnnnngggg time...fyi
