I realize that, as a healthy 21-year-old male, it is very common for me to get erections often. However, I am not sexually active (which includes masturbation), and until I get married (which doesn't seem to be in the forseeable future) I basically have no use for these erections. Most of these erections are not caused by any "active" stimuli (an attractive female, wandering thoughts, etc), but seem to - ahem - pop up at random times.
My question is this: Is there any NON-permanent way to reduce the number of erections I get? I would eventually like to have children, so I'm not searching for some permanent solution. However, I have heard rumors that saltpeter helps to reduce the number of erections a male gets. Is there any truth to this? If so, how does it work? If not, is there another supplement I could take that would help me get this problem under control?
