Strange smelling urine

My urine has smelled very bad for several months.  It smells somewhat like rotten eggs and, admittedly, I do eat about 2 eggs a day.  I was wondering if this could be the cause.  I have also had bacterial vaginosis which may still be hanging around.  Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.  I am a 30 year old female with CFS.  (also had liver ALT come back 47 and cholesterol 235 recently)  Thanks.

Don't worry about that. Whatever you eat will influence smell (and colour) of your urine. Seafood and asparagus are the worse culprits for smell and red beets will colour your urine red. You can try not to eat eggs for few days and see.
Good luck.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

When were you diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis?

This foul smelling urine may be due to an underlying urinary tract infection. The bacterial vaginosis may lead to a urinary tract infection if left unmanaged and uncontrolled.
I suggest that you have a urinalysis and urine culture done. This may help rule out any underlying infections .

Maintain good genital hygiene and  avoid any sexual activities until you have been properly assessed.
