Hydrocele did not return.

You have post op swelling, it is temporary, but can look just as large as the original hydrocele.

You need to stay off your feet and keep it elevated on a rolled towel so it is higher than the top of your thighs. this will help it go away faster. The more it hangs down the longer it takes to go away.

If you have fever or dicharge from the would you need to get to the doc.

Good luck.

Hello,
It is unlikely that the hydrocele has recurred if you had got the surgery done few days back. It looks like the swelling is due to the surgery itself. Bruising and swelling may be troublesome, particularly if the hydrocele was large. The swelling may be as large as the hydrocele. The swelling may take four to six weeks to settle down. Close fitting Jockey-type underpants are useful and for this you can consult your urologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
