UTI Symptoms but no infection?

I went to my doctor 2 months ago with UTI symptoms. She did the in office dipstick test and it came out negative. Now I had occasional cloudy smelly urine (maybe once a week if even that) and burning sometimes. She prescribed Cipro for 7 days which helped but I was still having some bladder symptoms. So then she gave me 5 more days of Cipro which again didnt help with the bladder symptoms. In fact the bladder spasms became worse. I read online that Cipro works from the kidney down, so if I had a bladder infection to begin with, is it possible that Cipro didnt get all the bacteria in the bladder?

Last week she gave me Macrobid which apparently is specifically for bladder infections? Now everytime she did the dipstick test it came back negative. Even the urine culture came back negative today. I realized today that I always went in the mornings to the doctor. So I would wake up and use the bathroom and give anther urine sample at the doctors within 30-45 minutes. So is it possible that if the urine hasn't been in the bladder for too long the tests can be a false negative for bactera culture? Since my urine is cloudy and smelly once every 2-3 weeks theres obviously some kind of culture in there. It cant be IC can it?

I did think of IC but if the urine is cloudy then obviously there is some kind of culture present.

ask your dr about interstitial cystitis. it is not curable but it is treatable, and it mimics UTI symptoms but no bacteria is present in the urine

Well 2 months ago it was occasional burning, cloudy urine, difficulty voiding, lower back pain, pain over public bone. After the cipro it has mostly been bladder spasm and occasional cloudy urine.
