Recurrent UTIs are a sign of possible infection, damage, inflammation of the bladder or urethra, etc. For example if you have a fungal infection, but were given the wrong antibiotic (not a non-fungal antibiotic), then your UTI would reoccur until the fungal infection is properly treated. Also, it could be that your original UTI was not completely eradicated and you just need another course of the same antibiotic. If you noticed the treatment was working after you took it, you probably just need more of the same one. And if the UTI keeps reoccuring you just need to get checked out again by docs.
Hi,
Inspite of the measures taken by you to prevent a recurrent UTI, it can still happen. Females are anatomically more prone to UTI compared to males. However, you continue drinking plenty of fluids and taking additional steps like alkasoda/alkacitra can help. You might need another course of antibiotics. You should consult a urologist for the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
