What are my chances of a dialysis machine in my future?

I have medullary sponge kidneys. Now I have passed stones before and have had an abscess in my side near kidney that almost killed me, O2 was 60%, potassium was null and void. In hospital for a month but came out of it. I was told and I have seen 10 kidney stones in right kidney and 12 in left kidney. Docs say they are calcified or as they put it (christy your kidneys are calcifying and lithotripsy won't work at this stage). I am 46 and have had these stones for 6 years. I get infections, smells, can't have xex cause of the odor, and cramps that make me feel I am still on my mensural. What I want to know is since my kidneys are calcifying and I have medullary sponge kidneys what are my chances on being on a dialysis machine in future and if my kidneys are calcifying why wouldn't my doc be more concerned?
