blood/incontinent 96 hrs after Ureteroscopy and Laser Lithotripsy

4 days ago I had a biopsy on my bladder and my 1cm kidney stone busted up by laser.  A stent was left for 3 days and removed due to discomfort/pain and incontinence. There continues to be substantial blood when urinating and urination cannot be controlled. What's going on?! I can't seem to get an answer that provides me any path to hope.

Hi there!

While slight blood in urination is expected after a bladder biopsy, urinary incontinence may be expected or could occur due to secondary issues such as injuries, neuro-muscular causes etc. If the symptoms continue beyond 10-14 days or get severe or there is development of associated symptoms; it is best advised to have this reviewed by your treating urologist for a detailed evaluation and suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
