Hi,

An honest and complete medical history is essential for your physician to reach the  right diagnosis.Do discuss this with your doctor.I understand  that you may be embarassed but  your physician is a professional and will highly appreciate you for giving him an in depth history of your condition. In cases concerning the urinary and genital structures, sexual history is very important.

Refrain from sexual activity for the moment until you have been thoroughly assessed.Wasa urine culture done together with culture of prostate secretions?

Hi,

UTI may be recurrent and may require longer antibiotic therapy. Continue taking your medications and complete it. A repeat urinalysis at the end of the course will be able to determine if you have responded to the drug or not.

Take plenty of water and continue to exercise everyday. I know you are worried about this. Avoid unnecessarily worrying and refrain from any sexual activity for the moment until you have been completely cleared of the infection. If the infection persists despite of the medical therapy, further evaluation may be needed to determine why this is so.

last night i went into emergency again..they did ctscan and all that stuff and told me that everything is fine..it is just that the infection is being a bit hard to cure...so just follow the same antibiotic and after that go for a urinalysis.it is giving me a relief now, becuase everybody was saying that there must be something going inside which is causuing all this...

Stones can be painful but can be disolved and there are meds and treatments which can lessen the likelyhood of their return. In the mean time drink plenty of fluids and avoid acidic food and drink as well as caffeine.

You should have been told to follow up with your own doctor or a urologist within 24 hours of being seen in the ER. Make an appointment to see a urologist before this effects your kidneys.
