Although I haven't had UTI's as long as you have... in the past 6 months, I have gotten 4 UTI's. A long story short, taking CIPRO wrecked havoc on my entire body: muscle pain, joint pain, vision problems, constant UTI's, digestive problems, abdominal swelling, etc... the list goes on, and I suffered for 2 years. Here is what I have researched and found: taking antibiotics (from the quinolone family: Cipro is one of these) kills the "good" bacteria you need in order to live a healthy life. When "bad" bacteria overgrows, you can have serious health problems. Bad bacteria has to come out... hence the UTI's.
If I were you, I'd concentrate on getting rid of the bad bacteria using detox methods (such as colon, kidney or liver), acidolphilus pills (there is a special kind for people with UTI problems), oregano capsules (which helps kill bad bacteria), digestive aids, etc.
Good luck!
Try eating some yogurt everyday to put back the good bacteria. I have to whenever I take an antibiotic. If I don't I always get yeast infections.
