Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

Having orgasm does not necessarily cause UTI but having sexual intercourse can cause UTI. Basically the female anatomy (short urethra) can make women more prone to urinary tract infections. During sexual activity, bacteria in the vaginal area are sometimes massaged into the urethra. Here they ascend to the bladder and the urine provides a good environment for the bacteria to grow. It is more common in women who change sexual partners or who have frequent sexual exposure.

Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon.
Wishing you good health.

Yes, having orgasms can absolutely can absolutely cause UTI's if bacteria are introduced. If you had an orgasm because of sexual intercourse with an infected person, or if you use a device for masturbation which you are allergic to or if it has something on it like a bacteria, then yes. If you are just using your fingers and they are not infected, I would think it is unlikely that you would get a UTI this way. Pathogens generally have to come from another host in the right temperature and other enviroments that allow them to grow, yet, one could infect oneself with ecoli ( the most common UTI) which is in most peoples intestine, SO, I would assume you had contaminated your front from your back in some manner, but this is only my thoughts on the matter. Please seek a medical professional to evaluate a UTI as they can cause serious health issues if untreated.
