My wife gets some relief colloidal silver (google it) from a health food store from burning pain following kidney stone removal when the urine tests came back clear.  Support for your immune system may help too so your body can gain the upper hand.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Is this associated with an urgent need to urinate?

The pain persisted after several medications and yet there seems to be no relief. Was a urinalysis and urine culture done prior to the medication? Were urinary stones excluded using imaging scans? Interstitial cystitis may be a strong differential here and a cystoscopy and potassium sensitivity test ( you may discuss this with your physician) may help define the diagnosis of IC. I think it is best to undergo further examinations. This will mean more expenses but may be more cost effective in the long run.

Do keep us posted.

If you have negative urinary test, I would get your dr. to check for interstitial cystitis. I'm having similar burning in my bladder area. No otc pain meds help at all.  Buy some otc prelief and see if that helps.  It takes the acids out of foods that might be irritating your bladder wall.  You can find it at Publix with the heartburn meds.  Hope this helps.  I would go back to the urologist and have him test for IC,  or go to another one.
