painful urethra - please help

i am a healthy 36 yr old male about 5 months ago i noticed a pain in the side of my testicle which spread in to the tip of my penis - i started having pain in my groin area, my glands felt swollen , had stomach pains which felt like constipation ( from stress?) legs felt weak and was getting bad head aches - a few days after constant inspections and be basically freaking out i noticed a small browish spot on the rim of the head of penis which for all i know could have been there forever - it never bled, or every had any fluid of any kind in it, it looks like its under my skin but from messing with it so much it started to hurt and is really only notice able during errections -in that time i have seen 4 doctors had been tested for every std known to man on 3 seperate occassions including herpes - i have had 3 tests since i have broken up with my x girlfriend (6 months ago) in the last 5 months, the last one being last week and all were negative with around  a 0.16 igg ratio with a 1.10 positive , i still have a stinging aching pain in the tip of my penis last doctor told me it could be epiditimtis - because he felt any std's could be ruled out - i have taken cirpo and doxycycline for a month now and it feels like its doing nothing - i have basically been in pain for 5 months now this has been very frustrating for me as it has taken an enormoius tole on my social life  - any help would be great

i though i had it bad , this is very common story - i had 5 doctors and not a single one could tell me what is wrong -i have had countless blood test, CT scans, ultra-sounds, i even had a camera insterted into the end of my penis all for the doctor to tell me there is nothing he can see - so i can feel for you, alot of people say that issues like this are all in the mind and thats why there is no medical explanation, easy to say when it isnt them who are dealing with pain in about the last place in a man would want it - this forum is here for its opinions not its medical advise and the advise is very helpful because it helps us see we are not alone, i would like to say that if you lived in the U.S you would have access to a wealth of medical care, but it isnt the case - but i do wish you good luck.

just another guy with similar problems. First I had unbarable pain in bladder area ofcourse with blood in urin (it felt like I had to go but there was no urin available) which went on and on... Since in my country medical or health care is really worst then ever I went and paid for every test ( in spite of the fact I'm insured and again aditionally insured which is all bogus I guess) and now after a year and a half know less then before. Luckilly enough the pain kind of went away (well more or less anyway) but the first cpl of months were horrible and things like "enormoius tole on my social life" and "basically rushed me out of his office" is all too known to me. Well before rushin me out they didn't forget to bill me. Well anyway after a year I now have been diagnosed perfectly healthy, with slightly out of shape liver, then probably blessed with kidney stone which was not visible on any test then they clinged on a small shadow in my urethra right next to bladder as being a small stone "caught in the piping" so they tried to smash it with ultrasound (peeing blood again) and after a few months (of that) they kindly lost me out of their system so I wandered around having pain killers for a snack and so I (using connections) got in a hospital where I should be half a year ago. They put in a splint (small tube going from bladder to kidney) but only after trying to pull out the "?stone?" without cutting me open (guess how they got in!); needless to say after anestetics worn off it was the worst pain experience of my life and I've been thru a lot. No pain is remotely similar to that hell. Then there were catheters, outdated equipment, the works... After I kind of came by I was dismissed and after 3-4 weeks when splint should be removed- and stone also I found out after several atempts to make contact that they lost all my records; hurra for that! After ..well it goes on like that.. and it sometimes get even worse... a year they told me that there were no stones anyway (I guess all that was just a field trip) and I have prostathitys only to find out 2 weeks later that I have kidney stones. So after a kind ..ck you all and a nice little nightmare behind me I went home and if I never see another doctor again it would be just fine.
So there is no advice I can give you but do take care of your body and don't let anyone experiment on you also don't be sorry to spend some money on some good doctor or test becouse health is your biggest wealth. You're lucky you live in a big country; in mine all doctors know each other and they hate each other there is only old equipment available and even for that you have to wait for months. I went to see bio energetic although I'm the last person to do that (pain makes you a believer) and she prescribed me a strict diet I've also been eating some pills and it got better but I'll never be as I was before. I wish you the best!

thanks Doc, there has never been a rash, just alot of intestinal bloating, burning pain and swelling of the testicles, it feels like there is something loose in my scrotum sack..like a lump on the top and bottom of the actual left testicle with swollen veins inside the scrotum and redness at the penis opening, which has faded thank god- full month of anti biotics did help a bit but there is still a slight pain and tingling feeling every day for a minute or two that happens a couple of times a day - very strange - i have been with the same girl for over a year up until 6 moths ago so i cant an STD causing this - can someone catch an STD from a swimming pool?  is it possible that its all in my head?

testicular pain can be stubborn

herpes usually has a rash if it's painful

diverticulitis is not likely to cause testicular or penis pain

sometimes a kidney stone can radiate pain into the groin or testicle

see a more empathetic urologist

Thanks doc, The last urologist also suggested epididymitis -  i should also mention that the pain will subside for a few days or so then come back - the urologist offered no advice on that and basically rushed me out of his office - i guess my biggest concern of course is that this could be caused by something not cure-able meaning herpes - i read that people can take up to 8 months before they produce anti- bodies associated with that kind of testing - i dont know how realistic this is- as my doctor assured me my immune system is fine and over thinking this. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis recently - can this play a role in this in testicle swelling and penis pains? - am i the only one dealing with this kind of thing? - any help at all is greatly needed - and thank you for you time

a month of cipro and doxy kills many bacteria all over, and covers the bugs that cause epididymitis.

5 months of pain suggests tis could be a more persistent problem that could use the expert help of a urologist, go see one.
