peniel trauma

I recently started taking a male enhancement supplement which also suggested milking exorcises 5min a day and a erection for 10min a day. also when I have sex with my wife I use a penis ring. I fell asleep with the penis ring on one night and I'm now having trouble getting a hard erection and keeping the one I do get. Could one of these things caused it .I read about the wound know as strangulation lesion. If this is what happened will it heal on its own.

Leaving something constricting your penis for an extended period of time can easily have affected the nerves to the head of your penis as well as the erection mechanism. Also, anxiety can have an effect on your erectile ability. Give it time and abandon doing anything to your penis except normal sexual activity (i.e. no attempt to have daily erections of a certain duration, no constriction rings, no penile stretching, milking, etc.).
People have done great damage to their penises by leaving something constricting them for long periods of time. Some have had to go the emergency room to have metal rings cut off to allow adequate blood flow to return. Do not leave anything affecting penile blood flow on you penis for more than a half hour!
My guess is that everything will be fine in your situation.

Thanks for your response. I did stop doing all those things that you had suggested and am now seeing some improvement, in fact with ever normal sexual activity performance is much improved. I still have some anxiety, but am working on that with the help of my wife. Thanks again for the much needed response.

Hi,

Don't give up the doctors here do give answers.

As for the ring I do think that you might have done some damage and I'm not sure if time will heal. There now could be some restriction of the blood vessels in the penis preventing the blood from flowing in.

I'm not sure if you could have done some nerve damage which could result into a lack of sensation and thereby hampering the erection.

Please write again and don't give up. I asked 2 questions her and both got anwsered. One question took a while.

God bless,

Ron
