rash on penis and prostitus like discomfort

I have developed a rash on my penis approx 6-7 weeks ago. it is located on my shaft on the right side and has an almost tickling feeling in the area.  Some times it is barely noticable but other times extremely red.  the skin  almost feels lilke dry when it rubs against my scrotum and goves a small uncomfortable feeling.  I was traveling in asia and received oral sex from a SW and had sex with a condom.  I came back and started developing this rash and a pain that almsot seemed internal where the rash is, I went to my doctor who said it was fungal and prescirbed ketzancole and applied it for two weeks with no results.  He then prescirbed cortisone for two weeks and again no results.  I was tested for std's 10 days after I got back.  I came back april 16 and was tested on april 25.  All tests came back negative.  I went to a urologist two weeks ago who precribed 2 weeks of cipro along wiht applying lotramin ultra.  I still have had no relief.  The rash can look almost look shiny at times.  My first thought was it was herpes but there was no blistering.  I have also experienced intermittent pelvic pains and what feels like swollen lymph nodes in the thigh area.  I was tested again for herpes on may 24  as the rash has gotten more irritating and test resutls came back negative. The skin looks shiny and there looks to be striations in the skin when stretched. Also I experienced what seemed lilke really dry skin in the buttocks and inner thigh area.  I have also been itchy all over, my eyes, arms, but no visible sign of anything. I went to see a dermatologist who said it could be just irritation, and not to worry but he did sya the hair folicules were little raised in the area.  I have been feeling really fatigued lately and dizzy.

I had prostitus last year, and understand sometimes it is something that never goes away.  I have been experiencing the same type of pains as prostitus as last year.  Around the anus hurts, frequent urination, testicular discomfort, could this be another form of prostitus.  I know i was long winded with the initial explanation, but it is a rash and combination of the same things i felt last year with my first initial prostitus discomfort, could this be the same thing?

thanks for your help

urologist told me my PSA came back normal.

I am really starting to lose it.  Would an HIV test at 10 days be accurate?  I onle received unprotected oral sex but when having sex used a condom.  I was tested at teh 10 day mark for other std's and they all came back negative.

Has there been any posts like this out there?  I have also had pains in my testicles.

can rashes on the penis take months to go away?

is this a flare up of prostitus?

Thank you for responding to my thread.  I did visit a dermatologist who said basically nothing.  I told them it has been there for 2 months and has just slowly and slowly spread and gotten a little worse.  At about week 6 or so I was having pelvic pains and all other symtpoms of prostitus.  can lichen planus cause these symptoms internally as well as the reddish skin appearance on the outside?  The skin does feel ectreemly dry, sometimes when i touch it it feels dry in the sense that the skin itself feels sticky.  then other times it almost looks not existent.  how does excema come about, the skin does not have white flaking going on, although my inner thighs do here and there

I really would appreciate any help.  Also worth mentioning, the dermatologist noticed that the pubic hair in that area at the folicule root looked raised? she said that is what could be causing some of the discomfort when walking

thank you

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
It is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis without examination but this rash can be due to eczema, irritated skin, chronic fungal infection or lichen planus of the genitalia. I suggest you to get a biopsy skin done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

HIV testing is done with a blood test and is done in full confidentiality. The blood is first tested by ELISA test which is a screening test which looks for antibodies in the blood. Then if it is positive then Western blot test is done to look for specific proteins of HIV. Confirmation is only done by specific tests for HIV like western blot, PCR and ELISA. These tests may show accuracy after 6 weeks to 6 months as HIV antibodies take time to develop in the body.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
