slight sting / burn u

I am male 27 years old. Last week i noticed when i urine it has a slight sting or burn to it. It doesn't happen everytime but sometime it happens. Even when i dont have to urine, sometime i will be doing something then all of sudden i feel slight sting. Feels like some urine is still stuck in there that didn't come out. I know I dont have any std cause i have no discharge and my wife of 8 years just got tested for all of that stds cause she is pregnant and they required that. She is clean. So if she is clean then i am clean cause we have sex quite often. What the heck could this be?

Thanks

Jonathan

Hello,
The first possibility for your symptoms is urinary tract infection. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Making a diagnosis of a urinary tract infection includes performing a urinalysis test, which checks for the presence of pus, white blood cells, and bacteria in the urine, which point to a urinary tract infection. A urine culture and sensitivity is usually performed to find the exact microorganism that is causing the infection and to determine the most effective antibiotic to treat it.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you Dr. for response. So it is possible that I could have diabetes at only 27 years old? I had asked a doc here where i live months ago what age to start worrying about diabetes and he said 40 to 50 years old. What type of blood test can detect diabetes?

Thank you for the info

Best Regards

Jonathan

Hello,
Nowadays with changing lifestyle diabetes is gripping some at a young age also. You need to get a blood sugar test fasting or HBA1C test done to clear your status of diabetes. My opinion would be to consult a urologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
