testicle lump after masterbating

Hi, I am 15 years old, and have resently discovered a lump on the top of my left testicle. I have felt pain in my left testie before after masturbation but never thought to touch it because of the pain I figured it would cause. But this time I touched to and felt a bump. Now I am wondering if I should go to a doctor or just leave it like the times before, since the pain had always went away in under 24 hours. What should I do and do I have cancer? please help.

As you are experiencing pain and have felt a lump on the testicle, I would suggest you get your parent to take you to see the doctor as soon as possible.

Sometimes you can get infections in that area and if the doctor's opinion is that you have an infection, you will need a course of antibiotics for this.  If the doctor feels the lump, he will let you know what should be done about it, whether to refer you to a urologist (a person specialising with these types of problems.

Do not ignore this hoping it will go away.  It may well go away, but sometimes these things just get worse and it then takes a long time to treat it.

When you wash, draw back the foreskin to make sure you clean there.  Bacteria can form in the folds of skin if you leave it.  Also do not use any soaps or shower gels on your private parts, because this can dry and irritate the skin.

Hope you get on OK.
Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes.

to add to this question the lump has within the last 3 hours moved to the bottom of back side of my testie which is leading me to feel that it may be the tubes, but It still is painful.
