ureteral stent
I had 3 kidney stones removed 1/12/09 and a stent put in. Was doing nicely until showering today. I caught the wash rag on the strings that looped for femoval of the stent and now I am having a hard time getting comfortable. I wouldn't use the word pain, just extreme discomfort. Do I need to have the location of the stent checked? It is scheduled to be removed 1/19/09. Just two days.

First, you probably did not do any damage to yourself. If you are suddenly dripping urine all of the time, then you should seek care now because of the risk of infection. Otherwise, your discomfort is probably bladder related (frequency/urgency/constant feeling of needing to void). These symptoms will resolve when the stent is removed.
