u.t.i.

I've been diagnose to have u.t.i last week, the doctor prescribed an antibiotic and told me that I need to come back today for re-urinalysis. The result of the urinalysis shows that the infection is already gone and I'm already cleared of the infection. However, i am still experiencing symptoms such as hard to urinate and discomfort in my groin area. Does having u.t.i. produces discomfort in the groin area. This discomfort is starting to bother me. Please advise

Thanks,
James

to continue sometimes i'm also experiencing mild ache in my penis which lasts to 3 seconds? can this be also a side effect of u.t.i.?

I would just like to ask if penis cancer starts with lump, warts, or rashes? because I did'nt experience these symptoms.

I'm starting to be bothered and I can't concentrate and focus on my work.

Your answers will be so much appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Hi,
Go back to the doctor and discuss the symptoms. The UTI may indeed be present but it may not be the only problem present. The doctor would likely evaluate for the possibility of kidney stones. The specific location of the pain and how it relates to the flow of urine would be helpful. Some infections may also not be captured adequately on the urinalysis – more sensitive tests that target particular organisms may be in order – depending on your risk profile.
